Their task
The economic climate has highlighted the trend for people to holiday at home. To help support the local tourism industry Visit Devon, the county’s tourism body wanted a campaign aimed at Devon residents to staycation at home.
Our solution
To reach the maximum audience we proposed a TV ad positioning Devon as a world-class holiday destination – ‘So why not stay?’. The ad proved to be such a success it was shown in the Midlands where Thinkbox research showed it to be highly effective in positioning Devon as a potential holiday destination. We have also teamed Visit Devon with a number of national brands in affinity partnerships, which has grown their database.
